Bartender

Position Details:

Silverwood’s is seeking an energetic and experienced bartender to join our family.  Our bartenders are responsible for developing and executing our bar’s beverage program. They must have classic cocktail recipes memorized in order to fulfill beverage orders quickly. Our bartenders satisfy drink orders from customers seated at the bar and orders that are placed by our servers.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling tee-times for our golfing patrons.
  • Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to set Silverwood’s recipes.
  • Interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving food & beverages.
  • Greeting customers upon entrance to our facility in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operating point-of-sale terminals
  • Ensuring timely delivery of food & drink orders and completing quality checks with customers.
  • Paying close attention to customers with special dietary needs.
  • Monitoring bar inventory and replenishing supplies and ingredients when needed.
  • Supervising & training new hires.
  • Dealing with and resolving customer complaints or concerns with a positive attitude.
  • Collaborating with all other FOH and BOH staff.
  • Completing side duties.
  • Issuing bills and collecting payments from customers.
  • Preparing end of shift cash out.
  • Ensuring the bar is properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Ensuring compliance with provincial liquor laws and federal food safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a bartender.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience as a server.
  • Knowledge of alcohol pairing and tastes.
  • Mixology or the ability to make traditional cocktails and create new ones.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to keep track of customer tabs.
  • Food & drink safety and preparation skills.
  • Familiarity with local liquor laws and the ability to enforce them.

Caddie (Barback, Host, Busser)

Position Details:

Silverwood’s is seeking an outgoing & personable Runner to join our team and grow with the organization.  Runners operate as support staff for their FOH colleagues and will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to Restaurant Management.  In addition, Runners will monitor Golfing Operations, and provide our golfers with technical support related to the Trackman Simulators.

To be successful as a runner, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures. 

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling tee-times for our golfing patrons.
  • Providing technical support to our customers, related to the golf simulators.
  • Greeting customers upon entrance to our facility in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Clearing, sanitizing and resetting restaurant tables and simulator areas.
  • Completing side duties.
  • Replenishing cleaning clothes and sanitizer bottles at each serving station.
  • Preparing, cleaning and restocking bar, service and dining areas.
  • Receiving and storing deliveries following “first in, first out” guidelines.
  • Changing beer kegs and soda bibs following “first in, first out” guidelines.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, as needed.
  • Collaborating with all other FOH and BOH staff.
  • Spot-cleaning lavatories, as needed.
  • Ensuring front entrance is clear of snow, ice and debris.
  • Taking out the trash & recycling and rinsing garbage cans.
  • Supporting other FOH staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with provincial liquor laws and federal food safety regulations.

Server

Position Details:

Silverwood’s is looking for an energetic & outgoing server to join our family.  Our servers will attend to customers before, during, and after their meals by helping them place, receive, and pay for their orders. They also ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on their tables periodically throughout the service time.

Being a great Server is about being attentive to the needs of their customers. They must have excellent listening skills and be detail-oriented since they have to understand exactly what people want. They also need to ask the appropriate questions to deliver the best service possible.

Cook

Position Details:

Silverwood’s is looking for a dedicated cook to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. Some responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other cooks as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

To be successful as a cook, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers’ expectations. Ultimately, a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing exemplary meals for our customers.
  • Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes.
  • Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
  • Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
  • Arranging and garnishing dishes.
  • Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.

  • Helping lead and inspire our kitchen staff along with management.

Kitchen Manager

Position Details:

Silverwood’s is looking for an ambitious and hardworking Kitchen Manager to join our team! In this position, you will take a lead in forecasting, planning, and controlling the ordering of food and beverages for our establishment, as well as being responsible for monitoring and overseeing our kitchen operations and its staff members.  In addition, you will be responsible for all aspects of the food that comes out of the restaurant’s kitchen. This includes planning the menu, developing recipes, and assisting with hiring back-of-house (BOH) staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, forecast and execute food & beverage orders
  • Preparing menus and plan alternative recipes for customers with special dietary needs
  • Check food and beverage supplies and liaise with the GM to place orders when needed
  • Track and order food & beverage shipments
  • Communicate and build strong relationships with food & beverage suppliers
  • Adhering to, and maintaining health and safety standards
  • Plan, hire, train, shift-schedule, oversee and manage BOH staff
  • Supervising food preparation and cooking process
  • Maintaining kitchen inventory
  • Create food & beverage cost reports, analysis, and develop strategies to improve efficiency
  • Always strive towards an exceptional customer experience
  • Ensuring the kitchen and bar is properly cleaned and sanitized

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years experience managing Kitchen Operations
  • Minimum three (3) years experience as a Cook or similar role
  • Experience as a Head Chef / Executive Chef would be considered an Asset
